Hi! I’m Christine.
I am an environmental scientist who is passionate about conservation, biodiversity, and science communication. I earned my Master of Environmental Science from the University of Toronto, with a focus on conservation and biodiversity, and also hold two honours bachelor’s degrees: one in Anthropology and another in Ecology and Zoology. I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to understanding the natural world and protecting it.
My love for animals has been a constant in my life. Initially drawn to the idea of becoming a veterinarian, my experiences working in a veterinary office during undergrad led me to explore other paths. As I delved into primatology and ecology courses, I discovered alternative ways to contribute to animal welfare and environmental conservation.
My work centres on research, data analysis, and science communication. I am a firm believer that research and data analysis are most effective when properly communicated. I am particularly interested in wildlife conservation, ecological research, and using data-driven approaches to support sustainable decision making.
My professional interests led me to working in various science communication and technical positions. I am driven by a curiosity and a desire to make a positive impact for animals and ecosystems.
Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, we shall be saved.

Beyond my formal education and passion for environmental science, I’m an avid crocheter and hobbyist wildlife photographer. I started my own crochet business where I create adorable (in my opinion, anyways!) plushies. Check out my crochet work at http://www.KnotsAndNoodles.com.
